I think it has something to do with us being fond of eating junk food, listening to patriotic diatribes and watching television. Over-indulgence in that sort of thing is suspected in medical literature as impeding the flow of blood to the brain.
And there is the unfortunate history of being the home of many Klan members during the last century.
But the real cause, I think, is that many of us of a certain age had our lunch money stolen on a regular basis while attending school in New Brunswick.
It's hard to forgive that sort of thing.
