Jamesburg is a great community to raise kids. We have excellent schools (I am a product of them) and we have a number of parks and playgrounds, in addition to a great recreation department.

Great Adventure does not back the Turnpike up very much. However, a mile south of 8a is the merge, where the truck and car lanes become one. That area backs up almost everyday during rush hour. You have 5 lanes become three. Fridays and Saturdays can be crazy depending on the time. A lot of people going to points south of NJ use the Turnpike during the summer. Depending on the time and weather, it can be backed up for a couple miles through the merge. However, that is the nature of traffic lately. There's too much!
