10% Tax Hike? Are you kidding me?

Why, pray tell, is the town proposing a 10% tax increase? Is it not bad enough that we have one of the top tax rates in the county? My parents are still paying under 4K a year in Sayreville!

There can't be more than 10 municipal employees here and in a 1 square mile town, there ought to not be that many kids for the schools. Unless...

How many children of our so called "undocumented" citizens are going to school here on my dime? What is that costing the Jamesburg taxpayer?

After talking with many citizns from different parts of town, it appears that 6K is the average tax levied per property, whether it be a townhome or regular residential home. That is absolutely outrageous!

All that money and they were talking about closing the library? They certainly arent using it to enforce the laws, as the same drug dealers on stockton and sherman that were there 15 tears ago are still there dealing away!

We've got flood control issues i.e. The area of New, William and Michael Sts. and the Costco drainage on Gatzmer Avenue! What's being done about that? Many promises were made by the Mayor and council members after the flood in '05, but no Army Corps of Engineers nothing..nada..zilch!

And you want to raise my taxes 10%.

Nobody n power addresses these issues, but if someone opens a new bank or junk shop, its a big deal worthy of a town wide celebration! I dont get it.

Can the Mayor and Council address each of my concerns?

Mr. Bodall?

I like this town, but with each passing day, nothing good is happening and its slowly turning into "little Tijuana". I think its time that either Monroe absorbs the town and turns it onto its "Main Street" or we all just close up shop and get out, because its going downhill fast.
