No one ever made it to my street in Resh Farms. We saw people and vehicles on all the streets around......
By the way, the siren issue is not under the Village Board’s purview, it’s the Fire Department. I believe it’s ready to use but has never been activated. This came up over 3 years ago when there was a tornado warning during the high school grad ceremony. How would people be informed and where would they go in case of an emergency, etc. The police officer on duty was monitoring but there is only so much he could have done.
I can see BIG legal problems if something does happen and the system was there and not used. I don't why they haven't started to use the system. Going door to door is not practical in an emergency.
