School a JOKE!!!

Just thought everyone should know what Good the Referendum did the Pec School. I was a heavy supporter of the Referendum but now I see it was a bad mistake.

#1 - The Fine Arts classes which were supposed to be saved by the vote have now been drastically "cut"
#2 - The administration has shuffled all of the teachers around again which has made it obvious that they are not really looking out for whats "best" for the students. You can look for the scores on tests from Pec to drop drastically very soon. You may want to know why I make these statements, so here goes - AND EVERYONE who has ever attended Pecatonica as a student in the last 20+ years will agree with me on this I can almost guarantee.

The administration has made the High school Library teacher for the past 20 or so years the NEW JUNIOR HIGH SOCIAL STUDIES TEACHER for at least part of the day for next year. Now this is not about calling her out because she is an extremely nice person and a very good librarian. HOWEVER, the administration needs to explain to the parents and the community how bringing someone out of the high school who has not taught for over 20 years in a classroom much less even worked at the junior high level into the classroom at the junior high level makes any sense.

If there is anyone who has experience with this excellent librarian who would be comfortable with their kids being taught by her in the junior high PLEASE PLEASE respond to this with your reasons!!!

The community needs to start complaining immediately to the school board and administration about not following through on the promises the school made in order to pass the referendum - This school is coming dangerously close to ensuring that they will NEVER pass a referendum in the future!!!

Such a shame for what was a pretty darn good school not more than a decade ago...
