Several people I work with have approached me so far today and have asked "What the "H" is the matter with you people in Pecatonica? Your mayor is outrageous, How would you like it if it was being done to you? Who do you people think you are? etc, etc.
I explained over and over again that I and the majority of people living in Pec are NOT in favor of the annexation. I'm so embarassed that now if someone says, "Hey aren't you from Pec?" I answer Yes, but I live out of town and CAN'T vote for the village president. (This is actually true).
